This programme aims to analyse creative practices within the field of everyday media writing, understood as all written works intended to be shared without going through institutional publishing channels (this includes, in particular, texts self-published by their authors on social media and other digital platforms, but also other forms of self-publication such as fanzines, collages and graffiti…). 
This programme aims to study this creativity from a historical perspective: these creative writing practices are considered within a context of significant technological developments that both foster and reshape creativity in line with new affordances. The agency of the participants—who also draw on dynamics of appropriation, détournement or resistance to technological frameworks to fuel their creativity—is also central to this programme.  
The integration of methodologies drawn from literary and linguistic analysis, information and communication sciences, and the humanities and social sciences, all centred on writing, aims to explore the ways in which conceptions of the ‘Text’ are constructed, raising social, cultural, identity-related and political issues.
