The Federative Research Structure for Creation (N° FED 4269) coordinates educational and scientific activities focused on multidisciplinary creative practices and processes in the arts, humanities, languages, and social sciences. It brings together 13 research laboratories in the arts, humanities, languages, and social sciences, and comprises more than a hundred researchers. Since its creation in 2016, it has fostered a collective dynamic that promotes interdisciplinary synergies between theory and practice, as well as between research and training.
Its scientific approach is based on the following five main areas:
- The experimentation of new languages, forms and practices of creation
- The analysis of creative processes and practices
- The historical and temporal studies of creation
- The observation and criticism of the socio-cultural implications in artistic activities and the arts industry
- The reflection on the territorial and political aspects of creation
The unifying scope of the structure is also expressed through numerous partnership and collaborations with socio-economic, cultural and artistic actors, both in the Grenoble area and at national and international scales.
Located at the heart of Grenoble Alpes University and based at the Maison de la Création et de l’Innovation (MaCI) since 2019, SFR Création defines itself as an incubator for projects. It encourages innovative initiatives, supports their development and promotes their value.
It is also a place for experimentation, exchange and interaction of knowledge and practices in the fields of text, literature, languages, theater, film, dance, music and audiovisual media. On campus, it encourages the emergence of new interfaces between research and training, by supporting and promoting collaborative projects with local, regional, national and international partners.
