Laurent FIÉVET's works most often take the form of immersive video installations using existing images from the fields of cinema and painting. Ambivalent and open to a wide range of interpretations, they suggest different ways of thinking about the Image, and test the dysfunctions of our individual and collective memory.

The exhibition looks back at a significant number of works produced between 2011 and 2023. Taking the MaCI's graphic emblem - a flight of birds - as a reference, the artist distills in the building an unprecedented set of proposals which, while embracing the entire history of cinema, decline its visual and sound principles of movement and song.
