Romane Nicolas trained in the Department of Playwriting and Dramaturgy at ENSATT (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre). Her plays have been published by Les Solitaires intempestifs, Esse que éditions, Éditions Théâtrales and other publishers. She has received awards and grants from the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, literary agencies and reading committees (including Troisième bureau and the SACD-Beaumarchais). She undertakes numerous writing commissions and works with various theatre, dance, circus and opera companies as a writer, dramaturg or literary adviser. She has taught in the drama writing department at ENSATT, as well as at various conservatoires, postgraduate programmes in the performing arts, and research workshops in writing and dramaturgy (including the International Summer School – EPICUR Strasbourg). She co-founded the Comité Collisions – a drama reading committee in the Occitanie region – as well as Pôticha éditions. She is also a coder and biohacker.
