As part of the GATES project, Evis SAMMOUTIS (GATES Senior Fellow), renowned composer and associate professor at the Eastman School of Music (New York), is organising two exceptional events: a workshop in the morning and a concert in the evening, with his guest, internationally renowned violinist and Grammy Award nominee Peter SHEPPARD SKÆRVED.

Evis Sammoutis, GATES Senior Fellow - Associate Professor of Composition at Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, Co-founder and artistic director of the Pharos International Contemporary Music Festival.

Peter Sheppard Skærved, An internationally acclaimed violinist with an extensive solo repertoire ranging from the late 16^th century to hundreds of works composed especially for him. Nominated for a Grammy Award, he has recorded over a hundred critically acclaimed albums, including concertos and major cycles of works for solo violin.
